Library Policy: Printing and Copying

Printing and Copying

Printing and Copying

The Georgia Highlands College Libraries provide printing and copying facilities for use by students, faculty, staff, and public/community users at each location.

Both color and black-and-white printers/copiers are available at the Floyd, Cartersville, and Paulding libraries, while at the Douglasville library, only black-and-white printing and copying is possible. The current cost of printing/copying in black-and-white at the GHC Libraries is $.10 a page, while color copying/printing is $.25 a page.

To be able to use the printer/copiers at Georgia Highlands College, you need a Georgia Highlands College identification card or a courtesy print card. Courtesy print cards can be purchased for $1.00 from the VTS machine. Monies can be added to both of these through the VTS machine or at the business office. Please ask library staff for location of closest VTS machine if not in the library.

Students, faculty, and staff at the Marietta location are welcome to use the printers/copiers at the KSU L.V. Johnson Library. Please go to the Auxiliary Office in the Student Center to receive a Guest ID for printing. The current cost of printing/copying in black-and-white is $.10 a page. Color printing/copying is $.35 a page.

If you need assistance in using the printing system or making copies, please see a library staff member. If you encounter a paper jam or other error message, please do not try to fix it yourself. A library staff member will be happy to help you.

3D Printer Policy

3D Printer Information

The Georgia Highlands College Libraries provide 3D printers and scanners for use by students, faculty, staff, and the community at the Floyd, Cartersville, and Paulding locations, free of charge.

The printers and scanners are for use by reservation only, due to high demand. They may be reserved using the booking form here.

The printers are capable of printing .stl files, which may be uploaded via a USB drive or downloaded from the internet.

If an item is in the midst of printing at the time the library is due to close, users must leave the library at closing time. The printer will continue to run (subject to librarian's discretion), and users may retrieve the object the next day the library is open.
