Who needs to approve my application?
The application requires a letter of acknowledgement from Krissy Shanahan, and a letter of support from the project lead's direct supervisor (i.e., his or her Chair, Dean, or Provost).
Is there anything else I need to be aware of?
Keep in mind that the grant work will generally be above and beyond your normal job responsibilities. It's advisable to discuss your interest in participating in an ALG grant (whether as a project lead or a team member) with your direct supervisor (i.e., your Chair, Dean, or the Provost) before you begin your application, so s/he can advise you whether s/he would support your participation. Remember that if you are the project lead, you will need your direct supervisor to write your letter of support.
