PowerPoint home page
At the PowerPoint home page you can choose from multiple templates. Not seeing what you want? You can search for other templates in the search bar at the top of the page.
Once you choose a template, or a blank presentation, you will see a preview of that layout.
If that is the one you want you can click Create and begin creating your fabulous presentation.
Now you are ready to let that creative side out!
You can click on 'CLICK TO ADD TITLE' and add your title and name.
To add another slide you can select New Slide at the top left side of the page.
You can change the layout, Reset will bring you back to the beginning of your text, and Section allows you to organize your slides into sections.
Text Direction allows you to change the direction of your text. Ex. horizontal, vertical, etc.
Align Text will align your text to either top, middle or bottom of the slide.
Convert to SmartArt will allow you to use SmartArt graphics in your presentation. Examples pictured below.
PowerPoint Insert
Under the tab Insert you can insert pictures, links, and videos into your presentation.
Here you can also add Header & Footers, text boxes, audio and screen recording.
PowerPoint Design
Under Design you can change the look of your presentation by choosing a different template.
PowerPoint Slideshow
Under the Slide Show tab you can review your presentation, change the timing of each slide, and record the slide show.
There are many great things you can do in PowerPoint. We only covered a few basics to get you started.
The best thing you can do is go through and check it all out, perhaps make a sample presentation so you can get used to using PowerPoint.
