Citing a Multivolume Work

Basics:

Author, A. A.

Author, A. A. & Author, B. B.

Author, A. A. (Ed.).

Name of Group.

(2020).

Title of multivolume work. (Vol. 1).

Publisher name.

https://doi.org/xxxx
https://xxx.xxxx

(leave off if your source is print)

Special Notes:

You will often need to combine the citation for a chapter in an edited work AND an multivolume work. The last example here is a reflection of that.

Examples

Gargis, M. (Ed.). (2019). A handbook for felines. (Vols. 1-3). Meow Publishers.

Smith, S. (2019). Favorite cat foods. In Gargis, M. (Ed.), A handbook for felines. (Vol. 1, pp. 35-54). Meow Publishers. http://doi.org/cats/56753.001
