Information Literacy Objectives

Upon completion of this information literacy content, students should be able to:

1) Differentiate between types of source materials (e.g., books, journal articles, websites, newspapers).

3) Determine if a source is appropriate for the intended use.

4) Build an effective search strategy including determining keywords.

Today's Agenda

For our in-person meeting, we'll be talking about several things:

Part 1: Source Types

You need to know what kind of source you're looking at before you can use it appropriately!

Part 2: Keyword Searching

Now that you know what kinds of sources you will see in Galileo, you need to know how to find them.

Part 3: Using Galileo

Whether you're a Galileo newbie or an expert, we'll talk about some best practices when using Galileo so you've got a great toolkit to use when you start your research!
