What is Google Scholar?
Google Scholar provides a simple way to broadly search for
scholarly literature. From one place, you can search across many
disciplines and sources: articles, theses, books, abstracts and court
opinions, from academic publishers, professional societies, online
repositories, universities and other web sites. Google Scholar helps you
find relevant work across the world of scholarly research.
If you are a member of the Georgia Highlands College community (student, faculty, or staff), you can use Google Scholar hand in hand with GALILEO and your GHC Library Collections!
Google Scholar searches a wide range of sources. If you just use Google Scholar by itself, you may find sources that either require that you pay for them or else simply aren't available full-text from Google.
However, if you are a member of the GHC community, you can tell Google Scholar to show you which of your search results are available through GALILEO or in print in your GHC Libraries!
