Here is an email from the Poetry Foundation editors regarding using their material in your face-to-face and online courses.
To sum up, you can
~Print copies of poems to hand out in your face-to-face classes (with proper attribution on each)
~Link out to poems in D2L (but you may NOT create a pdf or document of the poem and upload it - it must be a link out)
If you are using poems/links in a strictly educational environment, that is considered fair use as long as you attribute/credit the source. We have many schools and professors refer to and use our content for learning purposes. Check out our Learn section for additional materials that may be of use to you: https://www.poetryfoundation.org/learn
Please note, though, that if you are planning to print and distribute poems or content outside of the classroom, or if content is used/shared widely outside of your class, that will likely require additional permissions.
Thank you again for your interest in POETRY.
