Adding an Image Description

Adding descriptions to images in libguides

When you forget to add an image description...

1. Click the “Add/Edit Text” in the box you want to edit. Switch to Plain-Text Editor.
2. Find the image URL. Usually, “amazonaws” appears somewhere.
3. Type alt=”image description here” before the (/>).

* For describing detailed images or graphs follow these instructions to add Long Text Descriptions.

This image is a set of visual instructions on how to add descriptive text to an image. In edit mode in your box, switch to Plain-Text editor. Second find the URL associated with the image. Type alt="image description here" before the closing tag.
