You've reviewed the information on how to do research in Galileo... finding books works much the same way! Use the Books & More tab on the search box below. Your initial search will take you into GIL-Find, our book catalog! Just like Galileo, you'll want to put your keyword search skills to work in order to narrow down your results. 

The GIL Universal Catalog is now part of the same search you do for Georgia Highlands!

GIL Universal searches the library collections at all colleges and universities in the University System of Georgia. To search everywhere, once you complete your first search, you can use the dropdown box next to your search words and change it from "Georgia Highlands College" to "University System of Georgia".

If you find something you want, you can place a GIL Express request and have the item delivered to your campus location for FREE!

 REQUESTING A BOOK ONLINE

Want a print book from another GHC campus?  How about from another school? Never fear, it's easy to do!

1. Go to the Gil-Find Catalog (or use the box to the right) and search for the books you need. 
2. Once you find it, click on the book title to "open" the book information. Below the book info, you'll see one of two things:
   1. A button that says "Sign In" / Request Items. (You will need to sign in using your network email and password.)
   2. If you don't see the sign-in button, you're already signed in because you logged into another system. Great!
3. Look for the Request button under the title information. 
4. If you don't see it, you may see something that says Request from other USG Libraries with schools listed beneath. 
5. Click on the school, and you'll see the Request button! Click on it.
6. Choose your pickup location and then click "Send Request".
