STEP 1:
Review the TYPES OF SOURCES tab. This will help you understand the different types of sources you may encounter when you start searching in Galileo.
STEP 2:
If you're not sure how to do a basic search in Galileo, look at the SEARCH STRATEGIES tab. It has a lot of useful info about building a great keyword search.
STEP 3:
The FIND ARTICLES IN GALILEO tab is your one-stop-shop for finding articles. As you're looking for excellent material, remember what you learned about sources and searches! PROTIP: Save your articles by emailing it to yourself or copying the permalink!
Also here are tips on using USING FILTERS (sometimes called "Limiters" which are a great way to help narrow down your search.
Finally, there are Subject Databases, which can be helpful when looking for information on a particular subject, like sociological theories!
STEP 4:
The BOOKS (GIL-Find) tab is the best place to search for books. When you need deep, long-form information about topics like people or theories, books can be a great option.
