Upon completion of information literacy instruction, students should be able to:

  1. Identify appropriate library databases for specific research needs.
  2. Build an effective search strategy utilizing keywords, key phrases, and synonyms.

STEP 1:

Review the information about the research process. Understanding this process will help you tremendously as you start working on your paper.

STEP 2:

Using keywords is the easiest way to track down appropriate sources. Use the Keywords page to learn how to identify and build strong keyword searches.

STEP 3:

The JSTOR database is your best friend for this project! Put your new knowledge of the research process and keywords to work as you search in JSTOR! On the JSTOR page you'll also see additional tools you can use that will help you with your search.
