This database covers the nonfiction works of over 1,000 African American authors. Find journal articles, speeches, interviews, newsletters, and more from 1975 and earlier. Browse the Black Panther newspaper, or look to see what's available by author, year, or subject.    

When should I use it?
When you are looking for:

  • The works of prominant African American authors
  • Interviews, newsletters, speeches, and essays

Why we like it!
Check out the interviews for a fascinating read. Make sure to use the advanced search (under "search" in the top menu) to get the most out of this database. Use the "Terms" option to focus your search on a person or topic.
