CLASSROOM EXAMPLE #2:
Academic Journal Citations
This assignment was
designed to reflect GHC’s Quality Enhancement Plan towards information
competency. Promoting the development of
research skills using the Internet to find worthy/credible material, students
began the assignment after they had been trained on how to use GALILEO.
Academic Journal Citation Assignment
Using GALILEO, search the
Academic Search Complete database to find peer-reviewed (academic) journal
articles that could be used for research for the seven areas assigned. Once you have found an acceptable article for
one of the categories, give the academic citation for the article (Turabian
Style). The assignment is worth a total
of 50 points and each citation is worth
approximately 7 points.
