Basic Guidelines
Prof. Cochran has assigned you with a research paper for this class. Use this guide to help you find resources to complete this paper! Here's a quick look at the assignment:
RESEARCH PAPER GUIDELINES
Weight = 25% of Your Grade
Plagiarism = AUTOMATIC ZERO (0)
Your research paper should contain ALL of the following:
- MLA Formatting (double-spaced, Times New Roman size 12-pt font, headers, etc.)
- A minimum of 3 academic/reliable sources
- A Works Cited page
- A minimum of 5 pages (not including the Works Cited page)
When you turn in your research paper:
Please turn in your paper (and all accompanying pages) in a 9x12 manila
envelope. Be sure to include the following in your manila envelope:
- Typed research paper (70 points: 35 points for grammar/mechanics, 35 points for content)
- Research paper rough draft (10 points)
- Outline and thesis statement (5 points)
- Peer review sheets (5 points)
- Copies of your cited sources (print out from the Internet OR copies
from the texts)
