PSYC 1101 - Wilson (Floyd) - Spring 2018: The Assignment

Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs

The research project is a reflective paper on Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs. This will cover the entire 5-levels of the hierarchy and reflect their lives along these 5-levels. Maslow's theory is in the chapter on Motivation. There are five different levels of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs. Maslow's hierarchy is most often displayed as a pyramid. It starts with the lowest levels of the pyramid which are made up of the most basic needs, while the most complex needs are at the top of the pyramid. Students will write their reflective papers from bottom-up: physiological needs, safety needs, love and belongedness, self-esteem, and self-actualization.
