Remember, you don't need an e-reader to access e-books! You can always look at them right on your computer, or even print out portions or email sections of a book to yourself!! You probably don't want to go through the hassle of downloading and synching an e-book unless you want to read the entire book.
Our two primary eBook collections come from EBSCOhost and eBrary. The interface for each of these collections is slightly different, but you access them in the same basic way through GILFind: by clicking on the View It Tab and then the linked text after "Full Text available at:..."
*Remember that you may need to enter the GALILEO password and your network password (the same info you use to log into school computers) to read the book off-site.*
Here's a screenshot of an EBSCOhost eBook record. You must create an EBSCO account in order to "check out" and download the eBook for use on an eReader (the "Download This eBook (Offline)" link). If you've already created an EBSCO account while using other EBSCOhost databases (Academic Search Complete, etc.), that should work for this as well.
Here's a screenshot of an ebrary eBook record. Sign in (top right) to download the record to put it on an eReader. Your login for ebrary should be your GHC network username/password (the same one you use to login to the computers here at school).
